Inspirare Amsterdam Light Festival Installation

«Inspirare»

Every second, 7.5 billion breaths ignite life on Earth but we rarely notice. Inspirare transformed this invisible force into a meditation of light, making the unseen, seen.

In the rush of life, we often forget the simplest, yet most powerful act - to breathe. Across cultures, from monks to shamans, to performers, to tribes, to teams, to champions, breathe is our unifying force - the whisper of life that unites every ritual.

This installation invited visitors to the Amsterdam Light Festival to breathe as one.

A series of seven monoliths rise from the water—frosted acrylic tubes, each two meters high and 600mm wide, lined with individually addressable, color-temperature LEDs. Their brightness ebbs and flows, mimicking the gentle rhythm of meditative breathing.
